Hedgehogs and Foxes to Spectacular Science!

On Thursday we went to Clarendon to see a Science show. They did so many cool science experiments like elephant toothpaste and rockets. They also popped popcorn (it smelled so good!).Finally, they put bubbles in their hands and set them on fire! And that was our morning at Clarendon!

Phase 1 trip to the Bristol Zoo Project

The four Owls classes went on an exciting trip to the Bristol Zoo Project to support their rainforest topic this term. They got to see lots of amazing animals and learn all about them; what they eat and where they live.

Science week

The children have been enjoying a variety of Science Week activities. The British Science Week theme this year is Adapt and Change, we linked our activities to this theme and planned lots of opportunities for the children to work scientifically. The highlight of the week was the Walwayne Curly Wurly Stretch! Thank you to everyone who donated the Curly Wurlys we needed for this.

Wonderdome visit

The Owls classes had a visit from the Wonderdome to kick start their topic about Space. They were very excited to see the huge inflatable dome in the school hall and were intrigued to see what was inside. They listened well and learned lots! What a fantastic experience!

Owls trip to Westonbirt Arboretum

Barn Owls, Snowy Owls, Tawny Owls and Eagle Owls travelled all the way to Westonbirt Arboretum to find out all about Autumn! They had a lovely day exploring, playing in the leaves that had fallen, talking about how the leaves were changing colour and enjoying the fresh air!
