Our learning in Robins
- We have been learning about Friction and Functions in Computing by creating a football game program and editing our code to make our programming more efficient.
-
- We have been exploring circuits in Science. It was a revelation to discover that an AA battery is scientifically called a 'cell'!
-
- We have been practising our throwing, catching and dribbling skills in basketball.
-
- In English, we became newspaper editors and wrote reports about what happened in the poem, The Highwayman.
-
- We have been learning all about the date in Spanish. We have learned the days of the week, the months of the year and the numbers 1-31. This week, we are beginning to join it all together, including talking about what date our birthday is on and what our favourite day of the week is.
-
- In History, we have been working on creating a timeline of Trowbridge for Trowbridge Museum.
-
- We are extending our vocabulary during Guided Reading by discussing the meaning of words such as 'feign', 'surreptitiously' and 'furtive' in our class reader, Wolf Brother.
-
- We have been exploring positive and negative space in Art, as well as having a go at scaling up a drawing using the grid method.
-
- In English, we have been starting to study The Tempest and have been looking at the features of a comedy plot.
