 Our learning in Kingfishers

We have concluded our learning of space by publishing our non-chronological reports. We have had to ensure that all the facts we have written about are correct. 

We have finished our dance based on the story of the Trojan Horse.

We have started to learn about structures in DT. We have explored different playgrounds and what needs to be considered when building a playground (safety, visibility, inclusion, age appropriateness and challenge). 

We have been concluding our learning about ancient Greece by discussing what we have learned. We then compared modern day activities to ones happening in ancient Greece, seeing what the similarities and differences are. 

We have focused on our 8 times tables. We have faced the challenge of trying to answer 12 questions in 1 minute.

We have been annotating and analysing non - chronological reports. We have been identifying the different features and looking at the similarities and differences. 

We concluded our learning in music with Mr Pickett by analysing music using DR SMITH and performing our own compositions.

We have been focusing on our Arithmetic. We have been answering 12 SATS styled maths questions in 6 minutes.

We have been continuing to learn about Habitats during Spanish. We recapped the different habitats and then translated Spanish sentences into English.  

We have been developing the skill of performing by learning how to write our own music. We have recapped the value of each musical note and then used this to create our own composition, which we have then performed to the rest of the class.  

We have been developing our skill of passing during PE. We have learnt how to pass the ball in many ways and played small games of hockey.

During PSHE we have been learning about vaping and whether this is a healthy or unhealthy thing to do. We looked at a newspaper report and discussed our findings as a class.
