Our learning in Barn Owls

• As part of our Super Heroes topic we met real life superhero Nurse Claire. She told us all about her job and how she helps people. Then we explored lots of activities about how we keep ourselves healthy.
• We have been continuing our superhero topic by looking at superpowers, talking about how everyone has something that makes them special - their own superpower! We also designed ourselves as Superheroes for a display all about us Super Owls! 
• We have done our very first week of phonics lessons! We have learnt how to build words using the sounds s a t i m. We’ve even had a go at writing some words on our whiteboards too! 
• We have been superstars this week at eating our lunch in the hall!
• We have spent our first week in school, getting to know each other and looking very smart in our new uniforms! We have enjoyed exploring the unit, playing games and sharing stories.
