Arts Week

We held an Arts Week in school. All classes spent each afternoon with different teachers doing arts-based activities that are not part of our usual curriculum. To practice their Art skills, the children had the chance to create some digital art, explore paper weaving, do some finger painting and paint their own pop art! There has been a lovely atmosphere in school and the children have enjoyed participating in new experiences and learning new skills.

Mosaic competition

Some of our children entered a competition to get their design made into a mosaic in Trowbridge Community Sensory Garden (in Trowbridge Park, behind the Town Hall). One design from each of the seven schools who entered was chosen and the finished mosaics were unveiled by the High Sheriff of Wiltshire, Dr. Olivia Chapple, on Saturday. Well done to everyone who entered and a special congratulations to Tilly, whose bright sunshine design was chosen by the committee from all the Walwayne Court entries. The mosaics will be on display in the sensory garden once construction work around the Town Hall has been completed.
